Staff Development as the Change Agent

A Session by Tamika Barnes and Iyanna Sims

About this Session

Staff development is typically viewed as a mechanism for enhancing the skills of library workers to improve job performance and library operations. However, staff development, if designed strategically, can also be used as a vehicle for change. Certain programs can be customized to not only teach job-related skills but help to change the work culture. This session will discuss developing training objectives aimed to help build stronger teams and create an invigorating work culture.
