“African American women are 3 to 4 times more likely to die of pregnancy complications than white women and women ages 35 to 39” (2016). This workshop will explore supporting maternal health in libraries through education, advocacy, collection development, collaborative partnerships, and programs. Initiatives discussed will include supporting breast feeding and celebrating motherhood.
