Digital Transformations in Libraries at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)
A Session by Dawn Kight , Adrienne C. Webber and Sheila Stuckey
About this Session
It is well documented that a digital divide exists in this country. Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have worked to bridge this gap by providing resources to students, faculty, staff, and their communities using various learning and information technologies. In this session, Deans/Directors of Libraries will discuss how HBCU Libraries are supporting research, scholarship, teaching and learning using 21st-century technology. Atlanta University Center (Digital Collections), Grambling State University (New Digital Library & Learning Commons), Kentucky State University (E-Learning), North Carolina A&T (E-Publishing), and Southern University (Digital Repository & Innovation Center)
