About this speaker

Tamela Chambers currently serves as the public library committee chair of the BCALA Service to Children and Families of African Descent and is the branch manager at the Beverly Branch of the Chicago Public Library. Her decades-long career has afforded her the opportunity to work with children, teens and their families as both a school and public librarian. Tamela is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S in advertising, M.S in Library Science and a graduate of National Louis University with a M.Ed in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction and Certificate of Advanced Studies in Education Technology.
