About this speaker
Shari Lee is an Associate Professor at St. John’s University, Department of Library and Information Science. She received her PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009. Dr. Lee also holds an MLS with a concentration in children’s services as well as an Advanced Certificate in School Library Media. A Gates Millennium Scholar, Dr. Lee is a recipient of the Library Scholars Program Fellowship at UCLA in 2004, the 2011 Eugene Garfield/ALISE Doctoral Dissertation Award, the ALISE/Norman Horrocks Leadership Award in 2014, the YALSA Writing Award for the best article in the Journal of Research on Libraries and Young Adults in 2015.
