Roland Barksdale-Hall is an activist librarian and former editor of the BCALA News. He served as magazine editor for QBR Black Book Review. He is president emeritus of JAH Kente International, a griot and author of the classic African American Family's Guide to Tracing Our Roots: Healing, Understanding and Restoring Our Families (2005), Lion Pride (2011), and Under African Skies (2010). He is author of books Farrell (2012) and African Americans in Mercer County (2009).
