Jarrett Dapier is a young adult librarian at Skokie Public Library. He has written about policing and libraries for American Libraries and Library Journal. In 2019 Dapier was named an LJ Mover & Shaker for his work producing theater in the library with teens. Also a writer, his debut picture book, JAZZ FOR LUNCH!, will be released by Atheneum/Dlouhy on September 7, 2021 and will be followed by another, MR. WATSON'S CHICKENS, which will be released by Chronicle Books on October 5, 2021.
