About this speaker

Angel Truesdale is the Social Sciences and Business Librarian at University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and formerly worked for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (CML). At UNCC, she works with the psychology, business, and organizational science departments for research, library instruction, and citation assistance. While at CML, Angel received her Master's in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and worked on projects dealing with digital literacy, non-profit/small business reference, and planning film series programming focused on the Black experience. She is also a board member of the Charlotte Film Society and enjoys learning about cinematic storytelling as a narrative tool, the documentary practice, and undervalued voices in cinema. Angel's other interests include entrepreneurship in marginalized communities, international law, restorative, and housing justice.
